Our trip down to the Big Smoke was fantastic. We stayed in the hotel that had the unfortunate radiation problem a while back… Don’t worry though, Brian Turner and his restaurant are still there and as far as I could tell, he still had all his teeth and hair (not counting any acrylic or ceramic add-ons which obviously would last longer than a nuclear winter anyway!)
We spent some of our evenings in Soho and The Kings Arms on Poland Street (Without realising, we appear in a picture on their website!) – which was cool and we even bumped into our friend Christian on the Friday night. We decided not to spend Saturday night / Sunday morning clubbing at XXL and instead we stayed at the pub till late.
During the days, we also managed to go shopping, eat out and squeeze in a bit of culture with a non-stop marathon of the Kensington Museums – The V&A, Science Museum and Natural History Museum. This meant that in the space of a few hours, we’d seen the Kylie exhibition, browsed through science exhibits and walked with dinosaurs. Not your typical weekend and that made it brilliant!
